Master Selina Palmer

Master Selina Palmer began her martial arts training when she was five under the watchful direction of International Master, Ricky Jackson. You can count on one hand the number of people who can recognize every student who has ever set foot inside Little Tigers College of Martial Arts, Master Palmer is one of them. In addition to her familiarity with the program, she is one of the select few to earn a nickname from her mentor (Master Jackson). He called her,"The White Tiger".

Master Palmer is a three time recipient of the Little Tiger's Student of the Year Award (1998, 2000, & 2001). She possesses a lifetime membership in the World Tang Soo Do Association and is a current member of the Universal Tang Soo Do Alliance. She recieved her Master's Certification (4th degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do) in February, 2011.

Master Palmer is a founding member of the Little Tiger's Demo Team, moving up the ladder from assistant, to co-Captain, to Captain. After leading the team to win several competitions, she passed the title of Team Captain onto one of the school's leading students (3rd Dan) Jasmin Smith. Just like her mentor Ricky Jackson, Master Palmer has created several forms over the years that are now part of the Tang Soo Do curriculum.

Just like her achievements in martial arts, Master Palmer's academic achievements have been outstanding. She was her middle school's Salutatorian and received the "All American Scholar" designation all four years in high school at Arrowhead Christian Academy. While attending ACA, she was chosen to represent the school at a Leadership Camp sponsored by the Redlands Rotary Club. Master Palmer also earned recognition as a member of the National Honor Society and was honored as an "Outstanding Student" in both History and English. She was awarded ACA's prestigious Principal Award in 2008 and again in 2010 and graduated from ACA with the "High Honors" distinction.

Master Palmer was 2010's winner of the Master Ricky Jackson Memorial Scholarship and is currently attending the California State University of San Bernardino where she is a third year student in the School of Business and Public Administration. She has repeatly made the "Dean's List" and was proud to have served as both secretary and  Vice President for one of the community service organizations on campus.

Master Palmer's hobbies include fishing, spending time with friends and family and doing art. She has a passion for oils, pastels, and freehand drawing. She is an accomplished artist, having won the ACSI Art Show's "Best of Show Award" for her pastel rendering of a Siberian Tiger.

However, Master Palmer's first love is teaching and watching students grow in their love for martial arts and in their respect for themselves and others. She takes immense pleasure watching students become a positive influence on others.

When asked about her goals as Sah Bum Nim, her main goal is to continue the legacy started under Master Jackson.
