One of the best gifts that you can provide for your children is the opportunity to possess the powers of a successful life. What are these powers? Patience, concentration, humility, self-discipline, self-control, self-confidence, and a strong, healthy body with good coordination.

There are three major factors that contribute to a positive mental attitude in our kids: self-discipline (control), self-respect (balance), and self-confidence (power). These factors are crucial and must be present if our kids are to properly deal with peer pressures. Peer pressures are the agents that lead to substance abuse, aggressive behavior patterns, teenage pregnancy... The list is long indeed. If our kids are to combat "social evils," they must first have the proper tools with which to do so. What we teach are essentially "survival skills" for today's youth, skills proven for over 2000 years and taught in an up-to-date manner. For high school and college students the self-discipline, self-control, and concentration will help them perform better academically and will boost their self-esteem and self-confidence.

Women especially like this style of karate for self-defense, weight reduction, physical fitness, beautiful posture, and stress relief. Our martial arts program helps to develop students into productive individuals who become "winners" in all that they do.

1. All persons not on the floor must sit or stand quietly. If you wish to talk, please step outside. There must be quiet in the studio during class.

2. All children not on the floor training must sit or stand quietly with their parents. Parental supervision of your own children is mandatory.

3. When your class, or your child's class, is over, please leave the studio as quickly as possible. This makes room for the incoming class. If you would like to stay and watch the next class, you are welcome to do so as long as you do not disturb the class.

4. Upon entering and leaving the studio, all students must bow with respect.
•Only students are allowed on the mat. They must bow when entering or leaving the mat area.
•All students are to bow coming into or leaving the changing area; bowing to the front of the studio to show respect for the work out area and your art form.

5. Before class starts all students are to line up as quickly and quietly as possible on the side of the mat according to rank. You are to sit cross-legged with your backs straight and watch the current class. No leaning against the wall!

6. There is absolutely no gum chewing allowed in the studio.

7. Wearing the top of your uniform and belt outside of the studio is not allowed. It brings unnecessary and unwanted attention to yourself.

8. There will be no jewelry allowed on the mat during training. This is for your safety and the safety of others.

Please adhere to these rules. All the rules in the class and the rules listed in the handbook are for your safety and the safety of others. We want you all to have an enjoyable Tang Soo Do experience.
